We thought we said good bye to the Grand Canyon, but it never quite giving us something beautiful to set our eyes upon!
I kept naming the photos, The Finale, One More Finale, but it never seemed to end, but these are apparently views from the Desert Highway, which I am sure glad we got to see! Hard to think of things to type because every view is spectacular!
Moran Point
Navajo Point
Heading into Navajo land was gorgeous! This was one side of the road with snow mountain views.....
This was the other, desert and canyons!
I am certain, but this may be part of the Painted Desert because the colors were unreal!
This was much more brilliant than the picture says, but I really just caught it at the end of the canyon, and since there was nowhere to turn around, it will have to do!
NOW, get ready for THIS.....every time I say this is the most beautiful site I have seen, it just gets better!
HORSESHOE BEND!!!!!! GLORIOUS!!
The water is crystal clear....you can see how dep it goes from the picture (I think)!
Here is an amazing thing...during this whole trip, we have been running into people we have met in all sorts of places......these three lovely ladies were our hiking buddies at Bright Angel Trail a couple days ago! We were walking the trail to Horseshoe Bend and my mouth fell open (we all kind of yelled at the same time.....OMG)! They were the sweetest people and they were from Indiana (Lynn, Rachel, and Annie)
Worked up an appetite, and I promised a picture of us eating in the camper with it folded up! I can't tell you how many times we have been eating in the camper like this and I will forget it is not popped up...BANGED my head more than once!
Ok, so now what? Lake Powell is very close, so we came to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area ($7/night....DEAL) No hot showers though (will be looking for a Planet Fitness tomorrow)!
But, I will forego the hot shower for this!
And this....
And THIS....
AND
NIGHT! Who knows where the buck we will be tomorrow....STAY TUNED!
