GRAND CANYON

WE HAVE CELL SERVICE HERE, which we were NOT expecting!

Driving to Grand Canyon.......let's just say I wasn't impressed! And, I have NO idea what this mountain is even though I Googled it!

Getting a little more excited!  Entering the Park!

Holy SNOW Batman!  This is the road to the Pine Loop (we were supposed to check in tomorrow, but we were able to get in today, thank goodness)!

Luckily, we have a pull through site, we were a little worried, looking at some of the sites if we would even fit because there was so much snow piled up everywhere!

Our picnic table was a little covered with snow!  But,someone dug out the firepit, which will be a must for tonight because it is quite chilly!  

We couldn't sit still, SO......off we went!  Ernie said the South Rim was only a short, couple mile walk!  Thankfully, there are paved walking trails everywhere here from the campsite to the market (I will be hitting up THAT place later this week, lots of cool souvenirs) to the Visitor Center and to the South Rim! 

Almost THERE!  I was like a little kid, SO excited!

HELLO Grand Canyon!  Now THIS is what I have been waiting for....obviously, photos do it NO justice!

A very nice lady took our picture!  She was a sweetie pie and took a lot of photos, but I won't  bore you with them all, since they all look pretty much like this one!

I did wear snow boots, however, and my baby toes are a little sore!  Hopefully, they will be okay for tomorrow because we are doing the entire South Rim, which is 12.8 miles!!!  I will be wearing my hiking shoes! And, I am hoping for sun tomorrow to see this glorious place with lots of sunshine!  

There are people camping here in TENTS, YES TENTS!  I have no idea how they are doing it, since I am sitting here typing this in about 8 layers of clothes, plus my winter coat!

OK, time to sit by the fire!
