Sorry, it has been awhile since my last upload, but NO CELL SERVICE has made it difficult!
Grand Teton National Park - I will be honest, we have done SO much in such a short time, I don't know what day we got the Teton NP!
First Look at the Tetons from a rest stop....
Found a camp site for the night and this was the first sign we saw!
You can see Grand Teton from quite a way off, but the closer you get, the more amazing it looks!
Mount St. John, is a little less elevation than Grant Teton but just a gorgeous!
Where to go, what to see!
Hiking to Hidden Falls.....
Getting tired....LOL
Whew....made it! And well worth the hike!
Day 2 - Teton
Where to go, what to see....
Chapel of the Sacred Heart, had to stop! Not a soul there except me and my maker!
Sits beside this river! Very peaceful!
JACKSON HOLE, WY, it IS!
Ernie and I went skiing there well over 35 years ago (before kids) ! It remains one of my favorite, all time places we have skiied!
Elk Arch - wanted to get a pic of us under the arch, but the place was SO crowded, so you will have to settle for these people that we DO NOT know! LOL
Decided to ride the Tram ($52/person but worth it) Wonder how much it was 35+ years ago?
This run is called Corbet's Coulier, one of the most extreme ski runs in the world. We contemplated it from the top of the mountain all those years ago, but thankfully, we were smart enough NOT to do it! But the only way back down the mountain (when you are skiing, of course) is one of these black and double black diamond slopes!
Top of the tram view!
Opposite side!
Had a beer and then back down the mountain!
Had a dinner then headed back to find a campsite for the night! But we DID see a moose!
Day 3 - Teton
GOOD MORNING.......can you believe this photo? This is Mount St. John from a place called Oxbow Bend........incredible!
Below is Grand Teon, from a different lake (Jenny Lake), not quite as spectacular, but still!
Where to go, what to see......
Leigh Lake
Armed with our Bear Spray, hiked the Leigh Lake trail, glorious scenery...
Had a few heart palpitations when we heard something coming down the path, bear spray ready and...
The snow you see is actually a glacier!
Water looks green and slimy, but it is actually as clear as can be!
The weather changes very quickly here!
Day 4 - Teton Farewell
View from our camp site.....
Rainbow to say goodbye!
Yellowstone, here we come!
